Introducing our Hawk Nest™ hammock tent, meticulously engineered for your outdoor adventures. Weighing in at a mere 4lbs (1.8kgs) and packing down to a compact 16.5 x 5 x 5 inches (42 x 14 x 14 cm), this hammock is the epitome of portability. Crafted from robust 70D parachute nylon fabric and top-notch materials, it boasts exceptional strength with a maximum load capacity of 500lbs (227kgs), ensuring a secure experience for one person. The overall length comfortably fits adults up to 6'6" (196cm). Its spacious design provides comfort under the stars. The built-in sleeping pad pocket accommodates any sleeping pad up to a maximum of 3" (7.8cm) thick and 28" (71cm) wide which guarantees warmth in colder seasons. The Hawk Nest™ feels like you're sleeping on air and eliminates any pressure points a regular ground tent may cause. The Product Journey
With any great product, there is a time when it was not a great product. Every journey has to have a starting point and the Hawk Nest Hammock Tent is no exception!
V.1 Product Issues
- The first and most pressing issue was the bottom 20D ripstop fabric that was used. It was very lightweight BUT in some unfortunate circumstances the fabric failed completely. The durability was simply not there.
- The sleeping pad pocket was too small so limited pads could be accepted and the width wise stitching was in some cases compromising the integrity of the bottom fabric.
- The rain fly door ties were spaced too far apart making them hard to use or in some case useless all together
V.2 Issue Fixes
- The bottom fabric was upgraded to 70D parachute fabric which is over 300% stronger than the fabric used in the V.1. Any durability issues are now a thing of the past as this fabric is the global standard for hammocks.
- The sleeping pad pocket was increased 6" in width and length allowing for a wider acceptance of sleeping pad sizes. Also, all width wise stitching was removed and both ends of the pocket are left open with an elastic closure making it easier to insert and maneuver your sleeping pad. This also removed any possibility of compromising the bottom fabric structure.
- The rain fly door ties were moved in 4" each greatly improving their functionality and usability in regards to securely and easily holding open your rain fly
V.2 Product Issues
- Now the biggest issue we were getting was with the rain fly. It was having issue with ripping and the waterproofing material would cause it to stick to itself when packed.
- The sleeping pad pocket now was a bit too big! There was drooping of the fabric that was causing there to be extra air space between the pad and your back.
- There was not enough interior storage, one small storage pocket was not enough!
V.3 Issue Fixes
- The rainfly fabric was upgraded to 210T Ripstop Polyester fabric which is is significantly stronger. It is a slightly heavier material but I am sure you will say it is worth it when your dry and cozy in a downpour!
- The sleeping pad pocket is now made from a stretch material and each end is sewn shut with a center flap to insert your pad. The stretchy fabric will further decrease any chances of any ripping of stitches or fabric and it will keep your pad tightly secure up against your back for unmatched warmth
- There are now 4 interior storage pockets. Two large foot long pockets on the inside near the middle and two small pockets on each end. Don't worry about misplacing any flashlights or gear anymore!

From setup to relaxing, this hammock is perfection. I left it in my backyard all summer — the rain fly gave out from the sun, but the comfort never did. I’d purchase it again in a heartbeat. Cloud nine vibes every time!

Love my Hawksnest V3. Just took it out for a two night backcountry camping trip and slept beautifully! Easy to put up and lightweight. Love the 4 interior pockets; (held my phone, glasses, knife and earbuds), also love the two hooks on the inside which I used to hang my headlamp. The poles popping out the bug net work great so the net doesn't sit in your face. Very roomy inside and suprisingly breathable even with the rain fly fully done up. It's like a comfy coccoon!

Fairly simply set up, I watched a video and found it had easier to follow instructions than the slip that came with it. It was pretty comfortable, and keeps the bugs out. The bottom material is really noisey when i move around which is unpleasant but it’s a good time otherwise. I had it attached to a really large tree so I used an extra strap from an old hammock to give it the extra length.
I really appreciate the review and photos Chadwick! Not taken on the noisy material. I am adding an additional coating on the interior of the bottom fabric for my next batch that should help decrease the noise and also make the interior less slippery so you dont keep sliding around and it should make it a bit easier to manouver during the night. Your feeback is very helpful though and I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend!

My family and I have been hammock camping for many many years we have camped in 3 feet of snow in crazy thunderstorms to the perfect warm star filled nights we have pretty much tried everything from a big holiday trailer to a tent trailer to a roof top tent and we even have a little off grid trailer but we all love to sleep in our hammocks. I recently purchased a hawk nest hammock after our family returned from a 8535km trip from. Alberta to Toronto and we hammock camped most of the trip I was looking to try something with more comfort ,and I can honestly say I found it . I purchased the whole set up including the air mat. I have slept a total of 5 nights in the hawknest and it is now my go to favorite.
