After an initial home setup to verify everything was in the bag, I am now deployed on a trek and using it for real. Loving it so far!

I purchased the V2.0 back in February and have used it three times over the winter months for some backpacking trips. The cold was proving to be a worthy opponent to the material, it held up very well and with a proper set-up kept it's warmth adequately. My main problem areas were the underpad stiching had a weak point and was something that came lose and lost a few of it's sticking along the nylon. This resulted in patching and a subsequent upgraded hammock, given that the rest of the hammock has held up nicely since purchase date.

The main comment to add is the extra-mile customer service with the company, as a Canadian given the times it's always important to support Canadian company's. Lukas was quick to respond with initial problem areas to the hammock after a tear had occurred offering options of a 20$ refund towards nylon patches or a full replacement. I opted for the patches to give the hammock a few more extra miles in use and I recently reached out about the patches deteriorating and Lukas with zero hesitation when with a replacement hammock and not just a 1:1 with an identical V2 I was surprised to get a newly improved V3. This thing looks wicked, some of the problem areas have been corrected and not just with a small change, but with a proper improvement that will last. It goes to show the quality Lukas and the Hawk Nest team deliver, this is a company I try to find any opportunity to speak highly of and recommend looking into their hammock tents. I have been camping for pretty much my whole life, currently 65. As my aging back gets less flexible I have been searching for a solution to a more comfortable sleep at camp. Thicker sleeping pads and pillows helped but this hammock has made a huge difference. I have tried hammocks before too,but none have been as comfortable as my hawknest. The sleeping pad pocket is genius. No more cold spots or shifting around to find just the right position . I wish this had been available 20 years ago.

I have to say that, this company has the best customer service I've ever experienced.
My story begins, with the purchase of the V.2 hammock. Great product, but I had an issue with the rain fly. I emailed Lukas about the problem, and very quickly received a response. He offered to send me a V.1 to replace the fly on the V.2, which I gladly accepted! After receiving the V.1, I took it out for a test run with my daughter. Unfortunately, I had an issue with the V.1 and so again I emailed Lukas, and quickly received a response. Lukas offered me a V.3 to replace V.1, which again I gladly accepted.
I recently had a chance to take the V.3 out for quick test. I love the new improvements, the added pockets inside are a great touch, and I definitely appreciate the new thicker rain fly. I also like the new texture of the material on the, sleeping pad compartment.
I really look forward to taking the V.3 camping this summer.

Huge improvements over the already great V2! heading on another trip in June and can't wait to put it to the test!

I was given this for Christmas and finally got around to using it on a moto camping trip! I am new to the hammock tent world and realize that I’ve got some things to learn but man this was amazing! It was comfortable and strong. I’m 230+ lbs and felt quite secure/supported. It was so easy to set up and as quick as suggested in the video. I did however somehow get a small tare in the rain fly whether it was user error or product, I have no idea. The reason that I mention it is, I was taken care of immediately and Lucas went above and beyond to make sure that the problem was fixed. That is worth so much to me and is another reason that I would highly recommend it!

Mine just arrived yesterday and I had to try it out. The set up was super easy, thanks to the very detailed video. My exped wide long sleeping pad fit great and kept me toasty. This is my first hammock and I was a bit queasy with the movement as I have vertigo, but the product is amazing. My set up location was a little too short, but I really wanted to try it out. My front porch was OK, but not ideal. I was shocked at how comfy and spacious this is. The pockets were perfect for my headlamp, glasses and water bottle. I felt like a little kid in a tree fort. So happy to see such a great Canadian product! It is very well made and has all the helpful little touches that come from actually using a product personally. Thank you Hawknest.

I tested out the hammock tent for the first time over the May long weekend. Once I sorted out how to get it tensioned properly with the trees available and got enough weight in it to stop it flipping upside down, it was an easy setup.

Mine is the v2 version, and the only issue I had was with gapping at the head and feet where the mattress pad slotted into the pocket. I'm short so I didn't have any weight in that area. Sounds like this is addressed in the next version, so looking forward to trying that out at some point.

I had my best night's sleep camping in a long time, and some excellent naps. My two young kids each slept in it with me for a night and there was enough room for a cozy sleep like that too. I needed a warmer sleeping bag than I would have in the main tent, but it wasn't an issue. There was a big rain one night and I was totally dry. More pockets or an easier place to hang my headlamp would be great, but again, sounds like the v3 has that sorted.

I also appreciated the owner sending me updated straps at no charge because they were out of stock when I did my original order. Highly recommend hammock and company :)
