Weighing in at a mere 3lbs (1.3kgs) and packing down to a compact 16.5 x 5 x 5 inches (42 x 14 x 14 cm), this hammock is the epitome of portability. Crafted from robust 70D parachute nylon fabric and top-notch materials, it boasts exceptional strength with a maximum load capacity of 500lbs (227kgs), ensuring a secure experience for one person. The overall length comfortably fits adults up to 6'6" (196cm). Its spacious design provides comfort under the stars. The built-in sleeping pad pocket accommodates any sleeping pad up to a maximum of 3" (7.8cm) thick and 28" (71cm) wide which guarantees warmth in colder seasons. The Product Journey
With any great product, there is a time when it was not a great product. Every journey has to have a starting point and the Hawk Nest Hammock Tent is no exception!
V.1 Product Issues
- The first and most pressing issue was the bottom 20D ripstop fabric that was used. It was very lightweight BUT in some unfortunate circumstances the fabric failed completely. The durability was simply not there.
- The sleeping pad pocket was too small so limited pads could be accepted and the width wise stitching was in some cases compromising the integrity of the bottom fabric.
- The rain fly door ties were spaced too far apart making them hard to use or in some case useless all together
V.2 Issue Fixes
- The bottom fabric was upgraded to 70D parachute fabric which is over 300% stronger than the fabric used in the V.1. Any durability issues are now a thing of the past as this fabric is the global standard for hammocks.
- The sleeping pad pocket was increased 6" in width and length allowing for a wider acceptance of sleeping pad sizes. Also, all width wise stitching was removed and both ends of the pocket are left open with an elastic closure making it easier to insert and maneuver your sleeping pad. This also removed any possibility of compromising the bottom fabric structure.
- The rain fly door ties were moved in 4" each greatly improving their functionality and usability in regards to securely and easily holding open your rain fly

Stayed warm and comfortable all night in -6C snowy conditions. The design completely cuts the wind while leaving ample ventilation. Also, only needing two attachment points for the hammock and fly together is such a game-changer. No more searching for the elusive "perfect" set of trees to tie up 6+ lines. Setup & takedown is a breeze (5 min), even in the snow, as no part ever needs to touch the ground if you do it right (watch the very helpful tutorial video on YouTube for the proper technique).

I seen the adds on fb and after looking at some reviews I decided to get one. Tried it out in the middle of the winter. It was fast and easy to setup and tear down. I wanted something that would be off the ground and lightweight for winter use.

This past weekend I was able to use my new hawk nest hammock and couldn’t be happier. I’ve been learning and practicing survival skills and techniques for about two years now and the hawk nest has made winter overnight trips way more comfortable. At 55 almost 56 years old let me tell you that sleeping on the ground even with a pad or debris bed just doesn’t make for a good night’s rest. The hawk nest performs just as it says it will. From 15 degrees one night to ice and snow storm the next. I’m sure the more I use it the more comfortable I will be. Great hammock and I look forward to my next adventure with it.

Initially decided to try a Hawk Nest hammock based on research and reviews as well as the return policy.
Received the first hammock and because it is winter have not spent a night in it yet; we do not winter camp.
After watching the instructional video we did venture out to give it a try. The video was spot on and we had it set up in 7 minutes and taken down/ packed away in less than 5. The lightweight design will be ideal for backpacking.
We were so impressed by the product quality, design and comfort we ordered a second one. Our communication with Lucas had been excellent as i messed up my second order and his attention and assist was far more than I expected, thank you again.
After we have had a chance to officially use our hammocks I will update it provide another review. We cannot wait to give them a try during our planned hiking and back country canoe adventures.

I actually own V.1 and V.2 of this hammock and Lukas is continually improving the hammock.. I am avid outdoorsman and bushcrafter. I have many hammocks in my collection but this I has been the best so far. The bath tub design is amazing and I don’t feel like I want to fall out and it’s very stable. The hammock is of minimal weight and packs down to a compact size. So no issue to carry on a pack to my motorcycle. I had one issue with my canopy where I conversed with Lukas and he had no issues replacing it and ultimately wants the best product on the market for his customers.
